The CGC Group Hybrid Heat Pump System was selected as the HVAC system in order to take advantage of the FreeHeat™ concept which makes use of waste energy in the form of useful energy. Unlike conventional Water Source Heat Pump Systems, the CGC Hybrid Heat Pump System does not operate the compressors in order to extract heat from the water loop. This will result in energy efficiency, cost savings and longer equipment life. These benefits, as well as others inherent in the design, will ensure that the new facility will be environmentally and economically efficient.

Hollandview Trail Medical Office
When the commercial developer for the Hollandview Trail Medical Office building required an industrial air conditioning system to meet their unique needs, they called the CGC Group. The building had a 4 Storey Class A medical office space and 2 central mechanical rooms on each floor. Given the location of the central mechanical rooms, low sound levels were an essential element in the choice of an HVAC system.

Springdale Professional Building
An independent analysis by Caneta Energy confirms that a Hybrid Heat Pump Geothermal System installed in the Springdale Professional Building will result in 23.8% energy savings over a conventional GSHP system.

Caneta Energy has modeled heat pump systems in a significant number of buildings over the past number of years. We have seldom seen a concept as promising as the CGC Group hybrid system, particularly when used in a ground coupled system with water to water heat pumps between the building loop and ground heat exchanger. When the building is balanced thermally, the ground heat exchanger can be by-passed, to maximize heat recovery and minimize pumping. This provides the benefits of conventional water-loop and ground source concepts in one system.
