Integral Heat Recovery Ventilator

HRV Fans
Recovery mode is selectable and enabled only when the unit circulation fan is in operation. The recovery moduleincorporates both an exhaust air fan and an outside air fan. These fans are provided with high-efficiency enclosed inverted rotor motors.

InnKeepers (IK008 to IK018)
The outside air fan is designed to provide 50 cfm (23 l/s) of outside air against an external static pressureof 0.15" (40 pa), and the exhaust air fan exhausts 50 cfm (23 l/s) against a static pressure of 0.25" (65 pa).

HomeKeepers (HK020 to HK036)
The outside air fan is designed to provide 100 cfm (47 l/s) of outside air against an external static pressureof 0.15" (40 pa), and the exhaust air fan exhausts 100 cfm (47 l/s) against a static pressure of 0.25" (65 pa).

Core Media
The HRV core is an aluminum-fixed plate with a Sensible Heat Recovery efficiency of 70% + at 32°F (0°C).Fan and Core sections are removable.

Defrost
The outside air fan is turned off during the defrost cycle. The defrost cycle is temperature-dependent and activated with an indication of icing.

Sequence of Operation

  1. The thermostat controls all heating and cooling functions. The HRV function is enabled any time there is a call for heating, cooling or continuous fan operation.
  2. The activation switch on the fan section should be set in the auto position to enable outside air introduction and heat recovery.
