System Description

The CGC Hybrid Heat Pump is an innovative Canadian improvement to the traditional Water Source Heat Pump (WSHP) system. The CGC system does not operate the compressors in the heating mode unlike regular WSHP. It combines fan coil heating and WSHP cooling on the same 2 pipe loop. The result is a significant reduction in electricity usage as well as total building energy. Using Natural Gas for heating in lieu of electricity to run compressors results in significant financial benefits since it’s less expensive to heat with Natural Gas than it is with electricity.

The Hybrid Heat Pump System delivers outstanding performance and reliability by advancing principles that have been applied on commercial HVAC systems for decades. A leader in its class, it is built on the simple idea that the ideal HVAC system should incorporate the best ideas for both the professional and the customer. The Hybrid Heat Pump System is as easy to install and maintain, as it is reliable and comfortable for the customer to use. Some of its key features include:

  • Low Operating Costs
  • Low Sound Levels
  • Small Footprint
  • Ease Of Maintenance
  • Simplicity Of Operation
  • Reliability
  • Design Flexibility
  • Modular Construction
  • Low Initial Cost
  • Ease Of Installation
